Thousand Needles
A huge, dry canyon in southern Kalimdor filled with towering sandstone spires, carved long ago when a river flowed through it. Tauren hold Freewind Post on the mesas, and bridges connect the spires above the canyon floor. In the east the canyon opens onto the Shimmering Flats, a salt pan left by a dried-up lake, where goblins and gnomes race rocket cars at the Mirage Raceway.
